Place of birth: Joyce was borne in 1943 in St Louis Missouri, in the United States Of America.
Family: Joyce has been married to her husband Dave Meyer since 1967. They have four children. Two daughters, Sandra Ellen and Laura Marie. As well as two sons, Daniel and David Meyer.
Books Published: Joyce has published 25 Christian/ Inspiration books, such as ‘Never Give up’, ‘The Confident Woman’, ‘In Pursuit Of Peace’ and many more. She has also published a novel called ‘The Penny’.
Other accomplishments: Joyce Meyer has been featured on a short fifteen minute radio broadcast on a St Louis radio station. In 1985 she began airing her radio show on six other stations, from Chicago to Kansas City. In 1993 Joyce and her husband Dave started a television ministry initially airing on ‘Superstation WGN- TV in Chicago, and ‘Black Entertainment Television. Her program ‘Enjoying Everyday Life’ is still on the air today.
Other occupations: Besides being a well known Author, Joyce Meyer has also become an associate pastor for a church in Fenton. She also hosted a radio talk show about ministry, and now Joyce hosts a television show also about ministry. She also founded her own ministry in 1985 called ‘ Life In The Word’.
Accolades: Joyce Meyer has been given an Honorary Doctorate of Divinity by Oral Roberts University an accredited institution in Tulsa Oklahoma. In 2005 Time Magazine’s ’25 Most Influential Evangelicals in America.’ ranked Joyce as 17th on their list.
Something you didn’t Know: Due to all her earnings from book sales as well as her television ministry, Joyce was able to purchase several homes, and owns a private jet with which she and her husband travel.
My kind of person: What makes Joyce Meyer my kind of person? Joyce has said in many interviews that her father abused her as a child. She is not afraid to talk about her Problems and in doing so has helped many people. Being so open, and speaking out about child abuse to help others, makes Joyce Meyer my kind of person.
