Who really judges you: 1 Corinthians 4:
1 Corinthians 4; 3-4 Says, “I don’t even judge myself…. It is the Lord who judges me.”
We all make judgments on people. We try to decide if they are being honest or if they may be a fraud, etc. Other people also pass judgement on us as well. They want to see what type of friend we may be, what type of business person we are, and so forth.
Sometimes we are judged unfairly by people when they hear stories from other people that may be untrue. People are often very harsh in their judgments of others. Then there are times when we judge others maybe a bit too favourably.
In Corinthians Paul tells the people that he doesn’t mind what judgments other people make about him- It’s not their mandate to make judgments anyway. He doesn’t mind if a court of law passes judgment on him, and he doesn’t even judge himself. The only judgment that would count is the judgment that the Lord makes on him and his work.
Don’t worry about the judgments that other people will make about you. Yes they may be poor and we would like them to be good judgments. However the only one that counts is God’s judgments of us. God knows everything there is to know about us and he will judge us fairly. You never have to worry that you will be judged unfairly when it comes to God. Stop worrying about what other people think. God’s opinion and judgment is the only one that matters.
