Being Understood. Scripture Piece.

The Lord always understands what you are going through: Philippians 4.

Philippians 4:6: ‘Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.’

The Lord always understands what we are going through. All you have to do is keep on asking the Lord through prayer to help you pull through and He will do just that. One of life’s difficulties, is that when we are going through a tough time in life we feel that nobody understands what we are going through, and that often leads us to become very depressed.

What if you have just been left heartbroken by the person you were in a relationship with, when they left you for someone else. You begin to think nobody understands, because all my friends are in great relationships, and those that aren’t have never been in this situation before so they will never understand. My mom has only ever had one boyfriend and that is my dad, and they have been married for over twenty years. Does this sound like you? It may be that the people close to you don’t understand, however Jesus is the one person who does understand. Jesus loves all people unconditionally, yet still there are people who have turned their back on him time and time again and chosen to worship other idol gods.

Let’s say you are finding it difficult to put food on the table. You again think nobody in your life understands as they have been brought up rich, and have an excellent job with loads of money. Once again that may be true for the people close to you, but Jesus knows exactly what you are going through. Jesus himself did not come from a wealthy family. In fact at a young age he had to go out to work to help put food on the table. Jesus actually worked as a carpenter when he was still a teenager. It wasn’t the most fun job, or the easiest way to make money but he did it anyway.

One of the worst feelings is the feeling that you are not able to make friends, and people don’t want to be around you. When this happens we begin to withdraw from the world. Jesus has struggled a lot in life with making friends. The people he so dearly loved are the ones who nailed him to a cross. So in actual fact he had it much worse then any of us ever will.

There will always be difficulties in our lives, however we needn’t feel as though nobody understands. The Lord will always understand. Bring your troubles to the Lord and he will lift that dark cloud that is hanging over your head, and replace it with a clear blue sky. Remember you are never alone in your troubled times the Lord is always with you. He loves you more than anyone you know, don’t loose faith in him.
