The Lord is the one who heals: 2 Kings 5:
2 Kings 5:6-7. 6. So a letter was sent to the King of Israel. This is what the letter said: ” With this letter I present my servant Naaman. I want you to heal him of his leprosy.” 7. When the King of Israel read the letter, He tore his clothes in dismay and said, ” this man sends me a leper to heal! Am I God that I can give life and take it away?”
In life we all get sick at one time or another. If our sickness is very serious like T.B or maybe even cancer, We tend to feel hopeless. However we shouldn’t loose hope. This scripture piece shows that God is the only one who can heal us. Yes Doctors help to heal us, but God is the ultimate healer. He is the only one who can give life and take it away.
When you are sick and feeling hopeless, all you need to do is call on the name of the Lord and ask for his hand of healing on your life. God told the man in this story to go to the Jordan river and wash himself a few times and he would then be healed. This man was then healed of his leprosy. God can heal people of almost anything.
If you read one of my previous scripture pieces on “Being Saved”. I mentioned that I had been involved in a terrible accident a few yeas ago. The Doctor that was at the scene of my accident had to come and check my pulse to see whether I was alive or not. I survived that accident that day, I felt that God had been watching over me and had mostly likely said, “Today you shall live child, and I shall give you healing.” It took three trips to hospital and a little while to recover from that accident. However I emerged stronger because, I did not give in to feeling hopeless. I prayed to God everyday, and he herd my prayer and he healed me. If you need healing too, or know of someone who does, don’t give in to feeling hopeless. Ask God to heal you and all others, the way he healed the leper.
