The Love Of A Father. Scripture Piece.

There is nothing greater than the love of our father: Exodus 34:

Exodus 34:6 says ‘And he passed in front of Mosses proclaiming, “The Lord, the Lord, the compassionate and gracious God, slow to anger, abounding in love and faithfulness.

Not only is the love of our father in heaven extremely important in our lives, but so is the love of our earthly fathers. For most of us God has brought an incredible man into our lives to be our father. This piece is about just why we love our fathers so much.

The love of a father:
A father is someone that is emotionally and physically strong
He’s someone that no matter what you know you can always count on,
When in a tight spot he’ll lend you some money
When you’re feeling down, he’ll tell you a joke and make you laugh at something funny.

A father gives of his love and of his time, he’ll simply give so much to us
You’ll know how much he loves you, even if he doesn’t always make a big fuss,
A father goes above and beyond for all his children, he does more then you think he ever can,
He is simply amazing, and to every little girl and boy their dad is superman.

If you have been blessed like I have, to have a super dad. Then don’t forget to tell your dad this father’s day, how amazing he is and how much you love and appreciate all that he does for you. If your dad has passed away or isn’t in your life, then don’t forget about your father in heaven. The Lord is an outstanding father. He can do what our earthly father’s aren’t able to do. He died on the cross for our sins. No matter how many times we sin he wipes the slate clean. He’s slow to anger and abounding in love.

This father’s day don’t forget to thank God for being there throughout our lives and for all the love in the world that he has bestowed upon us, no matter what we may have done, and no matter how undeserving we sometimes feel. God has blessed me with a wonderful father and when he is not with me I know that I have God the father who will take care of me. I am going to tell my dad this Sunday how much he means to me, but I’m also going to tell my heavenly father how much I love him too. Don’t forget to do the same this Sunday.
