The Year That Was: Inspirational Piece:

Looking back over the year that was:

We have come to the end of yet another exciting year. What has your year been like? When we look back on the year that was, we often look back and complain about all the things we didn’t do or all the things we didn’t get. What we should be doing though is feeling complete happiness, for we sure do have a lot to be thankful for in the year that was.

Has your health been mostly good this year? I know mine has, so that’s why i’m smiling. I’m happy because I know that my health this year has been a lot better then quite a few others. If your health has been good this year, then it’s time that you show some gratitude for all your continued good health. My health hasn’t always been this great so that’s why I’m feeling extra thankful. It is at this time that we should also spare a thought for all those less fortunate then us. Those that are in ill health. these people need our prayers. so don’t forget to pray for them.

What about friends and family. Are you blessed like I am to have the most awesome friends and wonderful family? Well if you are then you should also be smiling from ear to ear. This is something to show gratitude for as well. Remember that there are people out there at this time of the year who do not have friends and are maybe far away from any family. If you know someone like this then maybe this year you should invite them around to your house to celebrate the holidays with you.

When it comes to money, if you have enough to live off then you should be feeling really happy. You also have another reason to be grateful. Maybe you started a new job this year. If you like me decided to embark on a new career path this year then you are extremely blessed. However there are people who have little to no money as they have lost their only job and all forms of income. Why not donate five or ten Rand, two or three Dollars or a few Pounds to your local charity. It might be small but if we all do our bit it could make a Hugh difference in someone else’s life.

The holidays to me are a time when I like to look back on there year that was and thank God for all my many blessings. Each and every one of us are blessed in more ways then we could ever imagine. So don’t forget to show some gratitude, and maybe help someone during the holidays who is less fortunate then you are. I hope you have had a spectacular year. From me to you I hope that 2016 will be nothing short of pure happiness.
