Make sure that you put all your trust in the Lord: Jeremiah 17:
Jeremiah 17: 5 & 7 says “Cursed are those who put their trust in mere humans, who rely on human strength and turn their hearts away from the Lord. ” “But blessed are those who trust in the Lord and have made the Lord their hope and confidence.”
During this week I really wanted some answers from God. So I asked him, “Lord what should I do, where should I turn when I feel as thought no one can be trusted in this world I sometimes feel as though I can’t even trust myself to always do the right thing.?” I am sure that a lot of you have felt this way before. We often want other people to help us, so we go to family, friends and other acquaintances to help us with different situations. It is in these times that we tend to turn to mere humans instead of God.
When I asked God for answers this week, I was busy reading through Jeremiah and I was about to close my Bible for the evening, when After speaking to God I felt compelled to read a bit further on in chapter 17. I came across this piece of wisdom that the Lord was passing on to Jeremiah. It really spoke to my heart and I felt that that was what God wanted me to hear at that moment. God wanted me to Know that if I put my trust in him I will be rewarded. However If I forget about him and rely solely on humans then I will most surely fall short.
If you have ever felt this way before, or maybe you like me have been feeling this way this week, then put your trust in the Lord. Humans have all sinned at some point in their lives, so can they fully be trusted one hundred percent? I don’t think so. God though will never lie to you and has never and will never sin. Therefore my trust will always be in the Lord. I’m not saying that you should never trust anyone, I’m only saying that you can’t only rely on humans and forget about the Lord. The Lord is the one who will reward you in this life and the life there after. The choice is now yours, trust in the Lord and be rewarded or trust in humans and fall short? I hope this blog piece helps you the next time you feel unsure of whom you should trust.
